It seems to me that the way to cut down on abortions is to have contraceptives readily available. When we visited South Africa there were baskets of free condoms in every restroom.
The recent study in St. Louis showed that when contraceptives were made available at no cost, the number of unintended pregnancies plummeted. Teen pregnancies fell from 36 per 1,000 to 6 per 1,000. The rate of abortions was cut in half.
If you are sincere in wanting to do away with abortion you have to be in favor of no cost contraceptives.
This is only one money saving deal in Obamacare. Another is no cost yearly physicals that allow doctors to discover problems early before the treatment gets costly. Don't pooh-pooh Obamacare. We need it!

He tried to make us believe that Obama was going to cut Medicare when the truth is Obama is going to cut waste out of Medicare which is what needs to be done. Romney seemed to try to hide the fact that his plan would not cover those with pre-existing conditions.
Before the debate Romney said he was for cutting teachers. During the debate he said he wants more teachers. His tax plan calls for $5 trillion tax cut even for the wealthy. He denied this in the debate.
Before the debate he said businesses were hampered by too many regulations. During the debate he said he was for regulating business. I wish the compounding pharmacy in Massachusetts that sent out the contaminated steroid pain shots had been more closely regulated. People have died of fungal meningitis because of this lack of regulation.
On the local level, let's keep Barry Mahler as County Commissioner, Precinct 3. He is hard working, intelligent and affable.
We should also keep Lou Murdock as Tax Assessor Collector. When it comes to voting for Judge of the 89th District Court, I have heard disturbing things about the present judge, backlogs with civil cases waiting years to be heard, plea bargains turned down and unfairness and partiality shown toward lawyers and defendants. I suggest you talk to your favorite lawyer before you vote.
