The authorities take immediate action

"People accuse us of cheating, fleecing and being rude, but do they know we also get robbed and cheated by passengers?" said a cabbie who wanted to be known as Aznan.

"A woman asked me to transport her to several clinics as she claimed that she was referred to different doctors for her ailment. When I took her to Prince Court hospital which was the fourth stop, she asked me to wait and promised that she would return to pay my fare.Official Chanel store with full collection of Men's and ladies'paneraireplicas. But after that, I never saw her again. I suffered a RM30 loss.

"This is only one of the many cases I have experienced. The authorities take immediate action when passengers complain about errant cabbies but when we highlight our problems about our passengers, they say that there's nothing they can do about it," he said.

Aznan,The Design Museum presents iconic French shoe designer ladiesshoes, who has 14 years of experience as a taxi driver, hoped that the authorities will address the problems faced by taxi drivers.

"Honestly, the meter fare is not enough to make a decent profit. We don't have a fixed income. Sometimes, we could earn more, sometimes very little, depending on the number of passengers we get daily. Usually, I earn an average of RM1,Panerai replica watches, cheaprolexwatches, replica omega,500 to RM2,500 a month," he said.

Commenting on the listings by LondonCabs.co.uk, he said the public should stop seeing them in bad light.

Ahmad Yusni Ahmad Yahaya, 44, who has been a taxi driver for eight years said taxi drivers have to pay a daily rental to the taxi company, depending on the type of car they use.

"An old Saga budget taxi's rent is about RM30 while the new Saga's rent is RM40. It depends on the agreement made between the taxi drivers and taxi company. Different types of cars come with different rent charges.

"Some of the challenges we have to face include traffic congestion, bad weather, flash floods as well as dealing with difficult passengers. If an accident or a breakdown occurs, we have to bear the maintenance cost," said Yusni.

A taxi driver who declined to be named said he would select his passengers.

"I don't remember how many times passengers have refused to pay and rushed out without paying. I experienced that many times with foreigners in Taman Connaught and Cheras. If I see these people flagging me down, I will ignore them," he said.
