Ridge Meadows RCMP have released a photo of
a man wanted in connection to an attempted abduction and assault in Maple Ridge
on January 19th.
Due to the amount of media coverage received when they first released the information on Monday, Ridge Meadows RCMP said several women contacted them with valuable information. This led them to obtain a photo of the suspect and a piece of his jewelry.
The suspect allegedly attacked a 17-year-old girl. He approached her and asked if she could help him get his car started. Once he gained her trust, he produced a gun and made the victim drive him to a secluded location, where he allegedly physically attacked and beat her. She was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
