Police hunting shoplifters release images of suspects

These eight people are being hunted by police in connection with a series of thefts at a Henley supermarket, jewellers and corner shop.

Police have released CCTV images so residents can help to identify them.

One photograph shows two women aged about 16 or 17 years old who have targeted Sainsbury’s twice in as many days.

The teenagers entered the Bell Street store on February 6 and 8 and have stolen four bottles of champagne and boxes of Guylan and Lindt chocolates.

Their loot was in excess of £150 and they would hold their carrier bags away from the scales on the self-service tills to make their theft appear legitimate.

The girls are described as both having long dark hair and each around 5ft fin tall.

The second girl was wearing a black leather-effect jacket and dark coloured trousers.

Police believe that the girls could be students at The Henley College.

He is described as white, about 30-years-old, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in tall with short light brown hair and facial stubble.

Another image shows a man who stole batteries (£287) and food (£6) from Sainsbury’s on February 10. He was seen putting the items into a brown bag before leaving without paying.

Both women are described as being of Eastern European descent and about 5ft 4in tall, of chubby build with dark brown or black hair.

One woman is in her 20s, has her hair in a bob and is wearing a headscarf, floor-length leopard print skirt and a short grey jacket.

Another two images show two men who stole four bottles of wine worth £25 from The Corner Shop, Lower Shiplake on February 1.

They entered the store and started to ask questions in an attempt to distract staff before both grabbing two bottles of wine each and leaving the store without paying.

The owner of the store (find out who etc) followed them in his car down Mill Road but the thieves had vanished.
