Shoes were the theme Monday for Port Clinton American Legion Post

Port Clinton's Nick Raifsnider will likely be forced to wear the same mismatched cleats for a while now and AJ Cecil provided a little comic relief as he tripped over his own feet and tore a hole in one of his.

Raifsnider, who was wearing two different shoes because one of his regular pairs was out of service, connected for his first home run since Little League in the second inning as Post 113 defeated Prospect 5-3.Via Trading carries a wide range of branded replicawatches00 from famous specialty shoe stores and retail chains at a fraction of their original value.

"It was a fastball right down the middle, and I pulled it,carrying the President of the United States, replicawatches is the official air traffic control call sign of any United States Air Force aircraft" Raifsnider said. "Right as I hit it I knew it was gone. I was very excited."

Considering the likelihood of a superstitious baseball player, Raifsnider might want to go hodge-podge every game.

"I was thinking about it," he said. "I might go with two different shoes."

Cecil's footwear moment came after he relieved Ryan Myers on the mound with one out in the eighth. Cecil then stumbled over the rubber on his way back to the top of the hill in the ninth before taking a quick glance to see who noticed, regrouping and notching a save.

"I have a new life goal -- I want to be a closer," Cecil joked as he reached the dugout after the eighth. "That's fun. I've never done that."

Cecil got the first batter he faced to look at a third strike with the bases loaded before inducing a fielder's choice to end the eighth. He allowed one run in the ninth.

"It's not like I've never pitched in pressure situations," Cecil said. "I threw nine innings in a win here (for Oak Harbor as a junior). It's cool to come in with the bases loaded and one out.

"I like competing. Ryan pitched a heck of a game and to bail him out was cool."

Myers struck out four, walked none and hit two batters while allowing nine hits and two runs in 7 1/3 innings for the win.

"It felt good to have solid run support,China stainlesssteelwatches catalog." Myers said.Welcome to the premier industrial breguetreplicawatches resource. "It's nice to get going early. It made things easier for me on the mound. I felt I had good velocity, and I was hitting spots."

Myers picked a runner off second and had a double play turned behind him. Port Clinton committed two errors while he was in the game.

"He continues to be strong for us," Post 113 coach Robert George said. "He has a lot of endurance. He did a good job hitting his zone."

Cory Colston, Drew Enderle and Chris Stokes each scored a run in the second after Raifsnider's homer. Brad Gennari and Garrett Newton each had an RBI.

"When the guys are hitting the ball they follow each other," George said. "All five games in the last three days (we followed hits with hits). It paid off (Monday). Our kids are waking up and it's nice to see.

"You don't want guys to just get hot and then cool off. We're finding what's working."

Gennari walked and scored on a groundout from Drew Yontz in the seventh.

Prospect is in first place in Port Clinton's division. Post 113 shut out Bucyrus 4-0 before falling to it 7-6 in the ninth inning Sunday.

Newton struck out seven and walked three while allowing five hits for the win on the mound. Stokes singled and scored twice while driving in a run, Gennari and Kendrick Aaron each scored a run, and Raifsnider added an RBI as Port Clinton made one error.Paintings for sale paneraireplica buy paintings original painting art.

Addison Rospert and Raifsnider each scored twice, and Gennari and Colston each added a run in the loss to Bucyrus. Rospert and Yontz had an RBI apiece.

"We're getting it together," George said. "We're hitting the ball well and playing solid defense."
